Last May, after 2 years of working with traditional lacquer art, La Sonmai was honored to receive two prestigious design awards, A'Design Award and ADC Awards. And at that time, a new spring was opened for La Sonmai with so many plans and ambitions for the traditional arts of Vietnam.
To make a mark for their own spring season, La Sonmai re-launched The Spring Lady model with a more splendid and arrogant version. In order to enhance the golden beauty of The Spring Lady, the process of pounding giant abalone shells has been carried out and screened by artisans many times to produce perfect, sparkling shades on the girl's brocade.
In addition, the strengths of gold and silver materials are also emphasized within the impressive array of colors. First to appear is a stained straw hat on a golden background to create a unique warm color, attractive to the eyes. Inspired by the idea of sunlight shining on the shoulders, the luxurious beauty of gold continues to be chosen to cover the background, and The Spring Lady's smooth and radiant skin seems to be gleaming. With various intricate techniques, the hands and hair of Nang Xuan also become sparkling details that cannot be ignored. All in total created The Spring Lady with an elite, splendid, and beautiful spirit that anyone must immerse in.
This is considered an upgraded version with sophisticated techniques and breakthrough requirements of the La Sonmai artist himself, so the production time is also longer to meet higher expectations. Not only is this piece a work of traditional lacquer according to the design of painter Dat Phan, but this is also a moment of vibrancy lingering to a romantic and nostalgic beauty, allowing the owner to experience their own beauty in the flow of fictional space of the work.
